The Maynards are rich in a way that makes consequences feel optional. Viktoria and Amon Maynard run an almost-perfect billionaire family setup with their kids. No risks. No real friction. Just the kind of life where the world feels like it’s waiting on their schedule.
So what’s Amon’s “hobby”? Hunting. But he doesn’t shoot animals. Because why would he, when wealth already covers everything. That’s the joke, and it lands like a brick: the movie keeps cutting back to how the powerful can pretend morality is a costume and not a requirement.
“Veni Vidi Vici” is a bitter, political satire about winners and losers, and the very human talent for calling it “freedom” when you’re sheltered from the fallout.

Die Maynards sind so reich, dass Regeln eher Deko sind. Viktoria und Amon Maynard leben mit ihren Kindern ein beinahe perfektes Familienleben, nur ohne das kleine Detail „Risiko“. Was machen sie also mit ihrer Langeweile? Amon geht jagen. Nicht um Tiere zu töten, versteht sich. Eher um zu spielen, während andere den Preis zahlen.
„Veni Vidi Vici“ ist eine bitterböse Politsatire über Gewinner, Verlierer und diese bequeme Vorstellung, dass Konsequenzen nur bei den anderen ankommen. Wenn Reichtum zur eigenen Blase wird, wird selbst die Jagd zur Wellnessübung. Satire mit Biss, nicht mit Moralpredigt.
